Family Property Law

Together with the members of the tax, corporate and financial law teams, the family law team assists individuals and families with estate planning or the establishment of appropriate legal structures and entities in Belgium or abroad.

The firm has extensive experience in family law, with a specialisation in private international law aspects. The team deals with divorce, separation, child custody, partition and inheritance law, including their international aspects. It also deals with the problems of managing the property of incapacitated persons (the elderly, mentally handicapped, minors, etc.).

In these matters as in others, the firm favours practical and rapid solutions, having recourse, where necessary, to alternative methods of conflict resolution (arbitration, conciliation, mediation and collaborative family law).
