Pierre PROESMANS is a member of the French Brussels Bar (2008). He co-heads the Banking and Financial Services Law Department of DALDEWOLF.
Pierre holds a law degree from the Université catholique de Louvain, a master’s degree in economic law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and an LL.M. from Georgetown University (Washington D.C.).
Pierre is familiar with banking regulation and compliance issues, including investment funds (UCITS, AIFMD), investment services (MiFID-MiFIR) and payment services (PSD). He advises both Belgian regulated companies and foreign companies on their cross-border operations.
Pierre also advises and represents credit institutions and lenders on regulated (mortgage and consumer) and corporate loans.
Finally, Pierre advises regulated companies on various issues relating to the application of the anti-money laundering law.
